Alex Torpey
South Orange, NJ, United States
I am a 23-year-old volunteer mayoral candidate in South Orange, New Jersey. Professionally, I own Veracity Media, a digital strategies and new media consulting company. I write (fairly) regularly on topics of technology, media, governance and culture. I am a trustee on the South Orange Public Library Board, volunteer EMT with the South Orange Rescue Squad, serve on the S.O. Citizens Public Safety Committee and am the volunteer Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Coordinator for South Orange. Currently, I'm part time in a Master of Public Administration program in emergency management and counter-terrorism at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Everything expressed here is of my own personal opinion, not official statements from any position I may hold.
